Whether it's a single standalone POS or a networked solution in a large store with several tills, the Xtwin meets and exceeds your requirements. With its combination of standard PC technology and retail-specific components, the Xtwin guarantees long term investment security. The retail-specific interfaces are available in a separate unit inside the Xtwin, so that single components - even the motherboard or processor - can be replaced or upgraded easily if necessary. The checkout system's low maintenance requirements reduce total cost of ownership (TCO), with operating and service costs being kept to a minimum.
The Xtwin can be configured according to your needs. Depending on your requirements, it can be equipped with a processor of up to 2.6 GHz and up to 1 GB memory. The Xtwin can be equipped with up to six powered USB interfaces instead of conventional serial interfaces. In addition, it can also be used without a fan, further reducing the already low maintenance requirements. All current peripherals are supported. The Xtwin can operate under Linux and Windows, giving you the freedom to choose the best operating system for your needs.
Xtwin Modular
The main component of the Xtwin Modular is the Xtwin Box, which can be positioned below the checkout desk, either free-standing or wall-mounted. The touchscreen, displays, printer and other peripherals are placed on the checkout desk. In addition, the Xtwin Modular can be used with two line displays, 15-inch customer display and operator touchscreen, in any combination. The Xtwin Modular saves space and is extremely flexible, while the Xtwin Compact can be installed right away on any checkout due to its all-in-one design.
The Xtwin's multiple communication interfaces enable seamless integration into your IT infrastructure and your company network. By using an additional PCI card, the Xtwin can operate in a wireless LAN environment, in special store areas or even outside the store.
The Xtwin offers high security standards due to its intelligent data storage concepts: file backup procedures and completely automatic rebooting mechanisms prevent loss of data. If required, the Xtwin can also be supplied with two hard drives, guaranteeing high availability of the system.
