Software Unlicensed Usage

Reporting Unlicensed Software Use, License Non-Compliance and Other Abuses

Torex is committed to providing innovative technology solutions to better serve our customers' business needs. In furthering this commitment, it is critical that Torex intellectual property is protected, and that its copyrights, trademarks, patents and license agreements be enforced. Torex respects the intellectual property of others and asks our partners, end-user customers, and third-parties to do the same with Torex products and the intellectual property embodied within them.

Torex will take all necessary steps to protect our intellectual property rights and aggressively pursue those who violate our copyrights, trademarks, patents and software license agreements. In that regard, Torex considers the following activities, though not exhaustive, to be unacceptable violations of our intellectual property rights and or software licence:

  • Unauthorised use, copying, selling or distribution of Torex software;
  • Causing or allowing an unauthorised third party to copy, adapt, modify, reverse engineer, disassemble or to make error corrections to Torex software.
  • The removal or modification of any intellectual property notices contained within Torex software.

Causing or permitting the above to take place may be a breach of both Torex Software license and statutory legislation designed to protect the owners of intellectual property and may result in the termination of any relevant software licence.

Torex may also have a cause of action through the courts for any losses that it may have suffered.

Users of unauthorised software also risk system degradation or failure caused by software corruption, bugs, and lack of technical support.

Torex continues to ensure that full support for all Torex applications is available to our customers and to ensure that support meets the highest standards Torex only works with authorised accredited partners.

In order to preserve the integrity of our products, it is important that suspected incident violations of Torex intellectual property like those described above are brought to the attention of Torex.
