Torex customers sweep board at 2011 Retail Systems Awards

Four awards won out of five shortlisted for innovation with major brands

Torex, the leading global provider of innovative technology to the retail, hospitality and convenience and fuel markets, today announces that its customers have won four awards at the highly acclaimed Retail Systems Awards 2011.

The Retail Systems Awards recognise excellence and innovation in the field of information technology within the retail sector. Torex is honoured to share the recognition that it has been given for its work with a number of leading brands, resulting in the following award wins:

  • EPoS innovation of the year for its work with The Co-operative Group - created a  bespoke wrap-around technology solution to update the existing retail POS to integrate with wet stock management
  • Best use of technology in the hospitality and leisure sector for its work with PizzaExpress - integrated the first iPhone app for payment by smartphone in the hospitality industry across the brand
  • IT project of the year for its work with Republic - rolled out a multi-channel development with the IT team working in partnership with the business
  • Multi-channel retailer of the year for its work with Republic - implemented Torex Channel Hub (Torex MiRetail Hub) for true multi-channel integration across all channels
