Torex is on the money for Poundstretcher

Torex, the leading global provider of innovative technology to the retail, hospitality and convenience and fuel markets, today announces that Poundstretcher has completed the replacement of its legacy hardware and upgraded its Torex POS software to fully access the suite of features available. Alongside this, Poundstretcher will also upgrade its business analysis tool to incorporate Torex Business Analytics and Torex Loss Prevention. The company has worked with Torex to replace all hardware for 370 outlets, including 1300 POS systems in just 8 weeks.

Improving the speed and efficiency of card transactions and achieving PCI compliance were the major reasons for the upgrade. Where previously a standalone system was required, with the new hardware in place, this process will be completely integrated into the Torex POS system, eliminating operator margin for error.

The upgrade facilitates the use of touch screens, removing the need for keyboards and will improve the speed and efficiency of service. This in turn makes the customer experience more pleasant as shoppers can enjoy a quicker transaction process. Poundstretcher will also be able to offer a broader array of services and promotions due to the flexibility of the software, further benefiting its customers.

Torex Business Analytics and Torex Loss Prevention will help the retailer to tackle the common issue of internal losses, equipping it with highly valuable insight into improperly handled sales, returns and refunds on which to base corrective action.
