La Tasca introduces personalised loyalty card scheme
23 January 2012
La Tasca launches market-first with Torex to individualise dining experience
Torex, the leading global provider of innovative technology to
the hospitality, retail and convenience and fuel markets, today
announces the launch of the first La Tasca Loyalty Card. The
technology behind the card enables La Tasca to offer its guests
direct promotions via their loyalty cards, without guests needing
to search for vouchers. The current promotion allows guests to gain
20% off their total food bill seven days a week.
A significant number of cards are being created in the initial
stages and will be valid for use in all 65 of La Tasca's UK
restaurants from Monday 23rd January. This will enable guests to
enjoy unique promotions, where and when they wish to dine.
Torex have worked with La Tasca to develop and integrate the
loyalty card technology into the Torex hospitality POS system so
that it is easy for Front of House staff to use. La Tasca can
define what promotions are activated by the loyalty card and have
the option to provide specific Loyalty Card holder
promotions. When the guest loyalty card is swiped or manually
entered the cardholder is identified by an Issuer Identification
Number (IIN) and the card validated, thereby offering the relevant
promotion available to that customer as a card holder. The card
number is then mapped against the transactional purchase data,
including basket information and output to La Tasca. This
data can then be utilised by La Tasca to analyse spending habits,
personal preferences and profiles. With this greater depth of
information, the La Tasca team will be able to reward its customers
in a more tailored way as well as improve its engagement with the
broader La Tasca community.
Simon Wilkinson, CEO, La Tasca explains:
"The La Tasca Loyalty Card will differentiate us from our
competitors. We care about our customers and want to see them
return time and time again. The launch of this new loyalty scheme
with Torex means we can continually reward our guests and help them
enjoy dining out with a promotion in their pocket."
Nigel Lanch, VP Hospitality, Torex says:
"In today's competitive hospitality landscape, it's even more
important for us to support our clients by helping them to
understand their customer base. Diners are increasingly demanding a
personalised experience, as well as value for money. Loyalty cards
such as this mark an exciting new era for the casual dining market
and allow our clients to engage more with their customers."
